From the
altfriday5:
1. Which languages do you know? How did you learn them (e.g. natively, from classes, by immersion)?
Natively, English. I've had classes in German, French, and Spanish, but Spanish is the only language that has remotely stayed with me. I suspect this is because it's the only language of the three that I get an opportunity to use.
2. Which language would you most like to learn? Why?
I'd like to know Spanish better but I'd also happy to become fluent in Italian. Why? Spanish--the practical applications are endless. Italian--I have plans for the world's greatest Italian road trip.
3. Have you visited any places where you did not know the predominent language? If so, which ones? Was it hard to manage?
Sadly, no.
4. Which language do you most enjoy hearing, seeing, or expressing? Why?
Italian. It's quite lyrical and I always associate it with leisure and good food.
5. Which languages, other than the one(s) you know, are you exposed to your daily life?
Now that I work in an office, it's an exclusively "English" only experience by default.
