I had a wonderful weekend. It was unexpected and entirely enjoyable. Lee and I have decided to hang out and refrain from putting expectations or labels on things...and it somehow worked out...comfortably.
My joy in going to IKEA was completely thwarted by the maddening hoards. I ran in and ran out, office lamps in tow. It was a bitter disappointment, tempered only by the fact that I couldn't afford IKEA love at the moment.
Lee and I met up and had a fantastic dinner at Ethiopia. After that we found ourselves at the Parkway, swilling cheap booze and junior mints, watching Walk the Line. After that the multi-media love continued with SCRUBS at his place and some quality cuddling. In the morning, Lee impressed me with his "Magic Bullet" (the blender, not the sex toy) and I learned more about blendable fruit than I'd ever hoped to know. Followed with brunch. Followed with pictures and story-time. Followed with adventures in Piedmont. Followed with a picnic and impromptu garden tour of Wildwood Lane. I didn't get home until 6 PM on Sunday and what's remarkable is that I didn't get bored once. Extraordinary.
One thing that I will not do in the future is tell prospective suitors about my plans to move out of state. It's come up on every first date and it seems to trouble them, which I find amusing. Realistically, most of these potential relationships wouldn't last more than six months in the best of circumstances, so why does a seven month shelf life seem so daunting? *sighs*
Tomorrow I start my classes at ye olde Community College. Wish me luck!
