Mar. 31st, 2004 11:42 pmI have one beautiful perfectly open day off on April 10th--no class, no work, no other responsibilities. What should I do?
* Go to Berekley and visit your friend Diane. Eat yummy Ethiopian food. Cruise Telegraph Avenue. Spend some quality time in the bookstores. Maybe go to the Parkway Theater for a movie.
* Go to San Francisco's Golden Gate Park and visit the recently restored Conservatory of Flowers. Maybe row a boat on Stow Lake. Cruise by Cafe Trieste for some coffee and spend some quality time in City Lights.
* Stay in town, work on my papers, watch trashy movies, and finally eat at Espanol (the Italian Restaurant).
Honestly, none of these ideas thrill me, they're just sort of default plans for a day off. I'd really like something a little more exciting and off the beaten path. I'd like to visit the Forestiere Underground Gardens, but it's a three hour drive. I'm also considering going to Locke for the day, but I'm worried that it would be lackluster once I got there.
