Mar. 8th, 2004 11:12 pmJust talked to an old high school friend. We check in on one another periodically and sadly our conversations usually turn to silence as soon as they start. So, I said the first thing that was on my mind. He couldn't answer that one question, "What are you most excited about right now?" I guess things aren't really inspiring him these days.
*shrugs*
So I figured that I'd ask my own damned question. It's a test, something akin to pinching yourself to see if you're awake or dreaming; if you can get excited about something, you're doing okay.
So here's the list...
* Getting the China application process going (with the added organizational challenges that will accompany it).
* Getting a handle on my financial mess.
* Doing my budget.
* Buying my China travel books.
* Taking a Mandarian Class.
* Finishing my final project for my INC.
* Finishing this crappy Sociology class.
* Losing weight.
* Reading more. Writing more.
* Getting rid of things that I don't need.
Normally these things should inspire dread, but instead I'm thrilled to face them. It means that I'm getting things done. I'm moving on. Progress, you feckless bitch, you will be mine.
