Who was
1. ...your first grade teacher's name?
Mrs. Beebleheimer who did in fact have a beehive hair-do. She was an eval bitch who went after me every day of that cursed year, even bringing my mother into the fray to investigate why I was doing so much hard time on the playground bench (my mother also decided that she was EVAL). She continues to teach, the legacy continues.
2. ...your favorite Saturday morning cartoon?
George of the Jungle, that is when I didn't have ballet. Ugh.
3. ... very first best friend?
Amber Garcia, she kicked ass...she rode all the scary rides at Knotts Berry Farm and knew all of the cool songs from Blondie.
What was
4. ...your favorite breakfast cereal?
Lucky Charms, yo...Hello! I'm Irish.
5. ...your favorite thing to do after school?
Read. Watch MTV. Hang upside down on the jungle gym and flash the boys. Good times, being a five-year-old rebel in bible school.

Mar. 7th, 2004 11:52 pmDoes anyone have any advice on good international travel guides?
I'd like to make a modest investment in my China Travel Guides, but given that there are so many choices out there, I'm a little overwhelmed and unsure of which ones to buy.
Here are the top contenders:
Fodor's
Discovery Channel Insight Guides
Lonely Planet
Rough Guide
Whaddaya think?
