Asinine Quiz

1. What time is it? 10:58pm (PST)
2. Nickname: El Mac, Princess of PRED, and the Minister of Wholesomeness. I don't think that self references to being Instant Kharma and The Just War count, do they?
3. Dog or Cat person: Dog.
4. Number of candles that appeared on your last
birthday cake: 26...cripes.
5. Where would you live if you could live anywhere?
Southern Italy--rollicking ass-grabbing fun with an accent.
6. Regular or decaf? Regular, I can't fathom a world where I might cheat myself with decaf.
7. Pets? Um, er, sorta...Madeline, a VERY well-fed cat, relinquished to T's very capable hands several years ago.
8. Eye colour? Blue.
9. Hair colour? Blonde (mostly) Brown with controversial reports of red highlights.
10. Piercings? Two, one in each ear--both closed. No interest in further holes seeing as I've developed this whole aversion to pain thing.
11. Tattoos? See above.
12. How much do you love your job? I have a love-hate relationship with my job. I manage a Mom&Pop Bookstore in a small college town and also work part-time for a publisher. I love the relationships I've developed, the fact that I've achieved minor celebrity in the downtown area, and that I've earned a pretty unassailable position at my workplace. However, the job is conspicuously lacking in the areas of salary, prestige, and a stimulating environment. I was once regarded as a heavy-weight contender for better things, the current job situation doesn't speak well of my progress.

15. Current residence? Sacramento, CA. The cultural mecca of the Central Valley--no really. Christ, at least I live in Midtown, that's something, eh?
16. Been to Africa? No.
17. Been toilet papering? Heh...had a stunning amateur debut in the seventh grade...
18. Loved somebody so much it made you cry? Yes, god yes.
19. Been in a car accident? A couple of fender benders, but nothing that the insurance company knows about.
20. Croutons or bacon bits? Soynuts...hippie freak.
21. Sprite or 7-Up? Neither, I prefer the carcinogenic goodness of Diet Pepsi.
22. Favourite movie(s): Currently? Waking the Dead and Bowling for Columbine. God Bless Michael Moore.
23. Favourite holiday? I'm sorta partial to Memorial Day Weekend, it's got all the food, booze, and time off associated with the other holidays but is refreshingly family free.
24. Favourite day of the week? Friday.
25. Favourite book: The latest book that made a major impression on me was Bright Lights, Big City. I think it was all that twentysomething ennui bleeding all over the pages in punchy well-formed sentences. How can you argue with the sentiment, "Your soul is as disheveled as your apartment, and until you can clean it up a little you don't want to invite anyone inside."?

27. Favourite restaurant/pub? A ha! I choose a restaurant AND pub...The Fox and Goose, a lovely little place so long as you avoid anything on the menu described as English.
28. Favourite flower?Roses, any color, any time. African Daisies. Fairy Lanterns.
29. Favourite drink? Mojitos, Manhattans, Espresso Martinis from City Treasures.
30. Favourite sport to watch? I'd sooner pluck my eyes out.
31. Preferred type of ice cream? Vanilla with the bits from the beans
mixed in.
32. Favourite food? Da Mu, Cheesecake, and Paella Burrittos from Dos Coyotes. (Not necessarily in that order or combination.)
33. Disney or Warner Bros.? I couldn't give a good god damn.
34. Favourite Fast Food Restaurant? Plutos.
35. When was your last hospital visit? Um, 1978 for a tracheotomy.
36. What is the colour of your bedroom carpet? Sandy brown.
37. How many times did you fail your drivers test? Got it on the first time...still a menace.

this? My ex-boyfriend from 5 years ago.
39. Have you ever been convicted of a crime? Nope. I am a model citizen. Uh hem.

credit card? These days? Good Vibrations.

43. Last person you went out to dinner with? My parents and younger sisters for Thanksgiving Dinner. It was an Archie Bunker moment when my step-father declared dessert forbidden because it was too expensive.

45. Is there anything about you that people would find shocking? I was the Homecoming Queen in high school.
46. Is there anything you're keeping a secret now? I've been having sex with my boyfriend/ex without always using birth control/protection.
47. Is there anything you feel guilty about right now? Yep, there's about a 100 job applications I should be mailing out right this second.
