It's 51 degrees outside and I am fr-fr-fr-freeeeeeeeeeeezzzzzzzzzzzziiiiiiinnnnnnnnnnnggggggggg. This effectively rules out University of Minnesota for grad school. No really. I've been ruined by being born and raised in California--why leave when it will only lead to discomfort and extra layers of clothing? Brrr.

I'm at work. On a Sunday. There's not much to recommend it.

I uncovered a fresh new hell this morning--I went to the mall on the post-Thanksgiving weekend. To say the least, it was a mistake. I'm scarred and unsure that I will ever walk those halls of commerce with the same confidence. The aggressive marketing is what scares me the most--the perfume girls running after you with samples, the Sephora ladies poised with information and lip gloss wands, and the scary woman at the Hair Kiosk who came at me with a straightening iron. Eeep! All I need was a pair of thigh-highs and some shoes and instead I got Christmas in America. Lord help us all.

Hey! I might be in at the U of MN! But yes, it is freaking cold there. Everything else about the cities is great though. I think you'd really like Minneapolis/St Paul. I've come to the conclusion that the twin cities would be much more enjoyable with a hot tub. So if I do end up going there for residency, I'm def getting one!

Glad you survived high worship day at the shrine to capitalism!

Luv,
Karen

SOOOOOOO well put!

I want you to go to UCD (but you'll get here as I'm leaving), but UofM with a hot tub is also acceptable.

You seem in better spirits. I like that. :)
