Good evening children!
Jun. 25th, 2007 11:27 pmI'm back.
Back in many ways, actually.
Back on LJ. Off school. Back from a week in San Francisco.
It appears that I have grown conservative during my time here in the provinces, because I was in a state of continuous shock the entire weekend of SF's Pride Celebration. My sensibilities aren't particularily tender, but I was wide-eyed and hushed through every parade. Bacchanalian delights, oh my.
Now I'm home. Happy to see Peanut and Trever. My house. My roommates. My friends. My green, environmentally-conscious, inexpensive, chock full of awesome public transportation, adopted home. I am officially ready to cast off my California driver's license--this is where I belong.
Despite SPF 45 and a pretty pink bamboo parasol, I managed to fry my shoulders to a shade short of 2nd degree burns. I am not loving this. Trever has been merciful and has been my aloe vera fairy. I wore a strapless bra to work today and it's not even the g-damned prom. Sigh. This will be my California souvenier and reminder to stay this side of the border, content with the pale people and their cloudy climes.
