A happy unvalentines weekend to you!
Feb. 14th, 2006 11:20 pmTime to bore you all with the gory details of my wonderful damned weekend! Whoo!
* Friday--Came home and shredded one million pieces of paper. I have a renewed hatred for direct mailing and identity crime. I lost several hours of my life shredding five pieces of paper at a time. I tangled with the paper shredder and now have leetle tiny vampire bites on my fingers. Fun, fun, and ever so intriguing to finger fetishists everywhere.
*Saturday--Cleaned the house like a mofo. Washed every single item of fabric in the house, made three trips to WEAVE, sold books, dusted, scrubbed, and vacuumed within an inch of my life. I ultimately succeeded in turning this dump into a habitable home... but also threw away my driver's license and ATM card in the process. And oh yes, bruised the hell out of my foot with a Hawaiian Tiki God casualty. However, I survived to tell the tale and to enjoy my new CLEAN house.
*Saturday night--Lee arrives bearing gifts and looking for his surprise! I was able to give and receive on both accounts and escorted him on his Sacramento adventure.
The night brought:
Moroccan Food and Bellydancing. It's a rare find when you can successfully combine hypersaturated ambiance with fantastic food and entertainment. We were both mesmerized by the bellydancer who did truly amazing things with her hips and stomach--may she be an example for us all. Rawr! Lee finished dinner with a religious experience with the Baklava
The Pink Party at the Horse Cow Gallery. I tried to class up the evening in a rhinestone studded pink tank top, black lace bra, and sparkly plastic bling while Lee conjured up Willy Wonka in his pink tail coat. The venue was in-fucking-credible with DJs, fire art, industrial art, two English phone booths converted into Go-Go Dancer cages, and a sea of pink eye candy. It was an amazing time until the No-Fun arm of the Sac PD shut down the event because of code violations. Luckily we got the best of our fun in before the po-po and left rather satisfied and happy. The night ended at Holly and Jennifer's with an impromptu dance party and obscene amounts of cheese.
*Sunday. It's good to know I'm not the only one who has a hard time with the AM (uh hem, Lee). We made the tail end of brunch at the Fox and Goose and I had MY religious experience with an Ollala Berry Scone. We took Lee's convertible out and enjoyed the 73 degree weather and sunshine. It's good to be a Californian.
It was a fantastic weekend...*sigh*.
