Life at less than full-time
Dec. 29th, 2005 11:31 pmWorking a 30-something-hour week is glorious. There's this whole unknown universe of being able to shop, watch movies, read, run errands, hang out with friends (although I've always been rather adept at that), clean, and *gasp* even pursue hobbies. Couple that with the freedom from emotional manipulation and you've got a pretty nice situation. It's good.
Unfortunately I've got a backlog of stuff to do for the new year and all I want to do is sleep (I took a two hour nap this evening and I'm off to sleep again). This free-time stuff isn't for the faint of heart. After my paper, my apps, and cleaning the apartment, the good times can roll!
New Year's Eve is coming up and my first resolution is to give up being pissy and frustrated. I'm going to have FUN in whatever form it takes (which I'm pretty sure is going to be dancing to techno and spectating around beautiful gay men all night long). The frustrations of this week be damned, I'm ready to give it all up for a night of debauchery and champagne.
