Down 5.2 lbs this week.

I should be thrilled, but I've still got 1.2 lbs to go before I make up for last week's gain, let alone getting ahead with my total weight loss.

This is taking forever.

It's very, very frustrating and makes me wonder why I'm sticking with this.

I celebrated today's semi-victory by blowing my points this evening.

Bad Laura, bad!

I went to the cool kids house and dined on decadent meatloaf, green beans, mac 'n' cheese, chocolate milkshake, and peach pie. I tried to limit my servings to a little bit of each (and succeeded with everything but the meatloaf), which is something I never would have done pre-Weight Watchers--so I guess that I can count that as a victory.

We went to Holly and Jennifer's and I finally consented to being on their Ass Hall of Fame. They have an incredibly frat-boyish collection of photos made up entirely of pictures of their friends' asses. I finally felt like my ass was photo-worthy and I posed.

I yanked down my pants and...my friends gasped in horror when they saw the evil that was my Fistulectomy. I think everyone thought I was bitching and moaning over nothing until they saw the big bad gaping maw of my ass themselves. Heidi gasped and proclaimed it "positively Medieval" and even Holly, the former home health care helper, admitted that it was some pretty scary stuff. I don't know why my surgery wound needs validation, but it helps to know that I'm not in agony over a tiny thing, but rather a big huge ugly thing. So there! And today was yet another volume in the encyclopedia of OUCH! I can't wait for this thing to heal.

I'd post the pic for your viewing pleasure (ha ha) but I'm more embarrassed over the amorphous blob of fat that surrounds the wound than of the wound itself. *shrugs*
