Alright, I'm turning into a Libertarian (paying a sh*tload of taxes, fines, and fees will do that to a person). I'm not excited with the Gubment on a local, state or federal level. (Big surprise.) I'd say, "gah they're bleeding me dry!" but I'd probably come off more as George Castanza than Washington, so we'll let that one lie.
I'm all freaked out and stressed about my problems but I'm reminding myself that if I work on things a little bit at a time, they will eventually seem manageable.
Here's what I did today...
* Smogged the Toyota
* Dropped off my passport application
* Paid my library fines/Returned my overdue books
* Dropped off the REALLY overdue video rental
* Contacted the Feminist Women's Health Care Center and talked to them about becoming an escort. (I gave up on Sac NOW since no one every responded to my inquiries.)
After I pick up the Toyota from the service center, I'm headed for the DMV and then my WW meeting. After that it's on to a gathering where I'll talk to some current clinic escorts (H's friends) and then on to Holly and Jennifer's to pick up their keys (I'm pet-sitting their new dog this weekend).
I worked at the store this morning and made inquiries with three new distribution companies. I may work at a crappy, small time magazine store, but damnit, it will be the best crappy small time magazine store. I'm hoping that I'll get more indie mags/zines in with these new vendors and improve the store's selection.
Currently I'm at the publisher's office where, despite forays on to LJ, I'm getting almost all of my work done.
Whoo hoo! I'm feeling good about the day.
