I could think about this one longer but I think for the sake of history and memory you should always remain the Bathtub Princess.

2:: Am I lovable?

Yes. (If lovability is quantifiable, and I had to quantify yours, I would guesstimate yours is roughly equivalent to an attractive and intelligent but slightly rabid hedgehog, possibly with some wolverine ancestry).

I think you answered this already.

4:: When and how did we first meet?

Yes, we do have different recollections. I do think it's possible that we spoke at the party you remember, but most of that time I was wasted and trying to, ahem, light Diane's momma's baby on fire. The first time I remember talking to you was at a New Years' Eve party at Squid's place in Redding a few days later, where you were probably the only relatively sober person and were talking to me about how you couldn't relate to all the intellectually stulted bacchanaliating going on around us. I thought you were interesting and even though I was still drinking then, I related better to you than anyone else at the party. That was the tail end of my quasi-relationship with Shasta, and I think she and I ended up sleeping in a porn-covered room under the stairs using a peacoat as a blanket. Even though we had hardly spoken during the party.

5:: What was your first impression?

I think I just answered some of this. Mostly I couldn't figure out what such and intelligent and self-possessed young woman was doing with Hooker Jim, who, while certainly pretty brainy himself (I like to think of him as the Moriarty to Scarbelly's Holmes as far as the world of Dungeonmastering goes), never seemed to particularly value intelligence in his women (or even his friends for that matter).

Now I know more about the reasons for some of the above. However we have a history, which affects my answer here, and constitutes a mine field.

7:: What do you think my weakness is?

The fear-driven impulse to judge yourself and other people.

8:: Do you think I'll get married?

I think you won't settle for anything less than real commitment, whatever form that takes.

9:: What makes me happy?

folk-adult-contemporary singer-songwriters who beat their wives but sound groovy and sensitive on CD (James Taylor, Jackson Browne), excuses to talk about your ass, Whitman, being the token straight girl, mocking people (c'mon now), hugs, honesty (I hope)

stupidity, the fact that you have no control over what other people think of you, your ass

cookies, bandanas, my princess t-shirt, magazine stands, that corner on Colgate, my guitar, LJ, my TA office in Irvine. :)

Last thursday night. By the way I will be back in Davis again this thursday but I will be in an interview around your dinner break time. I'll poke my head in after that though.
